1 st Singapore Occupational Therapists’ Day (11 th Jan 2006)

The Singapore Association of Occupational Therapists (SAOT) is launching the first “Singapore Occupational Therapists’ Day” (1 st OT day) on 11 January 2006. To mark the day, a series of events have been planned.

11 January was chosen to be the Singapore OT day because it is the date that the association was registered in 1975. It is apt to celebrate the milestones that the profession has achieved in the last 31 years.

“This is our first OT day and to make it meaningful, we would like to reach out to the community and contribute our services to those who need it. We also hope to make use of the series of events to create greater public awareness of the occupational therapy profession,” said Mr. Patrick Ker, President of the SAOT.
