Student Membership:

Criteria for Ordinary Membership:
For citizen OR permanent resident of Singapore:
- A graduate from a WFOT-accredited (World Federation of Occupational Therapists) occupational therapy program
For foreigners:
- A graduate from a WFOT-accredited (World Federation of Occupational Therapists) occupational therapy program AND is
- Currently working as an occupational therapist in Singapore
For graduate from any non WFOT-accredited occupational therapy program:
- Has to pass the Qualifying Examinations AND is
- Currently working as an occupational therapist in Singapore
Membership Fee Per Annum:

For a renewing member, membership period starts from the last expiry date.

For a new/lapsed member, membership period starts from the month that he/she signs up.
Lapse Of Membership:
Membership is considered lapsed if a member fails to renew his/her membership within one month of membership expiry.
Criteria for Student Membership:

Full time occupational therapy students of WFOT-accredited schools, at undergraduate level.

A new graduate, who was a student member immediately before graduation, is considered a renewing member if he/she signs up within one month of the transcript date.

- " new ordinary membership / ordinary membership renewal" or " new student membership / student membership renewal"
- Name of applicant (s) (If paying for a group of applicants, all names must be listed)
- NRIC number if you are a Singapore citizen or permanent resident or FIN number if you are a foreigner.
- transaction reference number
- date of transaction
- total amount paid by payee
- attach relevant documents for new applicants
Processing of application may take up to 4-6weeks
Option 2: Cheque payment

Prepare a cheque, made payable to "SAOT" and indicate at the back of the cheque

World Federation of Occupational Therapists (WFOT) Membership
WFOT Membership Period and Fee

WFOT membership period follows the calendar year from January to December of each year.
For SAOT members who would like to subscribe to WFOT membership, kindly make a payment of $30 at the end of the year (to apply for the next year) via:
